Welcome to Mrs. Buhle's classroom!
Mrs. Buhle has a B.A. in French from Wellesley College, a Masters' degree in Early Childhood education from Lesley College, and many years experience as a Preschool Teacher. She was a Teaching Director at the Lowell YWCA for 9 years. Mrs. Buhle has been teaching at the Co-Op for the past 16 years.
Mrs. Buhle wants all her students to know we have lots of fun at the Co-Op! Some highlights during the year are the celebrations of growing in the classroom from popcorn in the Fall to amaryllis bulbs in the Winter and garden seeds in Spring. We enjoy science experiments, stories, and all kinds of projects. We sing lots of old folk songs and make up new songs, too. We make friends and have a wonderful time together! Mrs. Martin has been teaching for 16 years. For the past 11 years Mrs. Martin has been teaching at the Co-Op. Prior to teaching at the Co-Op, Mrs. Martin had a family day care. Mrs. Martin started as a Parent Helper at the Co-Op. Mrs. Martin's experience at the Co-Op inspired her to become a pre-school teacher. Two of Mrs. Martin's three boys attended the Co-Op. Before, coming to the Co-Op, Mrs. Martin taught at the Carlisle Children's Center, working with two year old children (she now holds a degree in potty training!)
Mrs. Martin has lots of favorite projects during the year, but her favorites are always the messy ones. Mrs. Martin also enjoys circle time when she reads to the class. Mrs. Martin loves to read and feels one can never read too much to a child. Mrs. Martin's wish for her students is that they grow strong, always wear a smile and have fun!
